Together, with the support of the Truro-based marketing consultancy, Wolf Rock Marketing, we have worked hard in the last 12 months to present Scilly as a desirable – even unique – destination for tourists. Like no where else in England.
We began this journey in early 2013 by developing a new brand for the islands – Visit Isles of Scilly. This was launched first through social media (Facebook and Twitter) in the summer of 2013. It was the start of a bold programme of marketing activities to revitalise the tourism economy of Scilly – that included designing and building a new website, redesigning our brochure, driving forward with PR, competitions, travel marketing, database management and so forth.
