The 2014 Isles of Scilly Guide (Brochure) was a radical step way from any Isles of Scilly brochure that had ever produced before. It was a bold message: A new new look and feel to reflect new brand identity. The new size and matt finish gave it a luxury feel designed to adorn coffee tables as well as help visitors to plan their holiday. The 2014 brochure had more than 100 pages of information about all aspects of Scilly: from why we love the islands and what’s on offer, to planning your journey and where to stay.
It should come as no surprise that the 2014 Brochure was very well received by members and visitors alike. As of July, we had received 18,366 direct, individual requests for the guide – helped by our PR and digital strategy. (This compares with just 2,057 in 2013). We clocked a further 13,500 online viewings whilst 9,000 were distributed in bulk to selected TICs across the mainland.
The 2015 Brochure was an enhanced version of the 2014. Our 2016 Brochure will be ready in the Autumn
In 2013, we also worked closely with the Isles of Scilly Farmers & Growers Initiative to produce the “Little Scilly Food Directory”. Again, its look and feel sends a clear message about the quality of the Visit Isles of Scilly brand. The Food & Drink sector is vital to Scilly’s Tourim economy – after checking in to their accommodation, it is one of the first things they want to find out about! We hope to update this little guide in the not-too-distant future.
