INVITATION TO THE ISLANDS’ PARTNERSHIP ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
THURSDAY 18th OCTOBER 2018, 11am – 12.15pm
The Islands’ Partnership invites you to attend the sixth Annual General Meeting of the Islands’ Tourism and Business Partnership.
The meeting will naturally provide the Board and the Executive with an opportunity to report on their activities over the past year and will deal with the usual matters of finance and governance, including a Special Resolution to make minor alterations to the articles of association.
Following on from the launch of the islands’ Destination Management Plan (DMP) in March this year, the AGM will see the launch of the DMP Action Plan, which sets out the detail – the what, when, how and who – in relation to the DMP’s delivery. I’m delighted to say that there has already been significant progress against a number of priorities and members will have the opportunity to hear more about this work from both the Islands’ Partnership and our partners at the meeting.
The DMP has the commitment of the islands’ major stakeholders and the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership has recognised it as a priority going forward. As we now move from strategy to action, the AGM will be your opportunity to hear more about the delivery plans for the year ahead and how, as a business, you can engage and play your part.
Where and When?
The AGM will take place at the Church Hall, Church Street, St Mary’s on Thursday 18th October 2018. The doors will be open from 10.30am for tea, coffee and networking, with the formal meeting agenda commencing at 11am.
To ensure that all of our members are able to participate, members will upon request be able to appoint a proxy to attend, speak and vote on their behalf. Information on how to appoint a proxy is included in the supporting papers.
All the official papers and their supporting documents are enclosed but are also available in the members section of the Islands’ Partnership website.
Papers available to download as follows:
A reminder – only those businesses and individuals that have completed and returned their 2018/19 membership forms will be able to attend and vote at the AGM.
